Arkansas Massage Therapy
Continuing Education Requirements
Massage therapy license requirements vary from state to state, and the laws are constantly changing. It's our current understanding that, in Arkansas, 6 hours of massage therapy continuing education credits are required every year for professional license renewal.
It appears that the Arkansas Board of Massage does not currently accept home study programs for license renewal. Currently, all hours MUST be completed through 'in class' courses. However this may change in the future, as many people are finding it difficult to locate a live training in their area.
If you would like to verify this information, or have further questions regarding your massage therapy continuing education requirements, we suggest contacting the Arkansas Board of Massage directly. The telephone number for the Arkansas Board is 501-520-0555 or visit their website at www.arkansasmassagetherapy.com.
Remember, the Institute for Integrative Healthcare Studies is approved by the NCBTMB as a continuing education Approved Provider (#049478-00). All of our continuing education programs can be used for your National Certification renewal, with the exception of Nerve Mobilization.
You may also use our credits for other organizations you belong to such as the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) or Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP).
